Glyncorrwg Ponds

This place is a dream come true for any weekend mountain biker. Easy to follow trails, excellent facilities, friendly atmosphere and a fully stocked bike shop. The perfect combination for a full-on weekend of mountain biking. There is also plenty of chill out space and relaxation potential for those who may not be looking for an extreme weekend.

There are a range of mountain bike routes for all abilities and the Afan Forest trails are only a 15 minute drive away for even more choice.

The daddy of them all at this location is the Skyline trail. 46km of gruelling climbs and flowing singletrack descents. If you don't fancy that then the Whites Level trail is an excellent all-rounder and has to rank near the top of the 'fun factor' list of Welsh trails.

To enjoy the full experience it is recommended to camp here. At the time of writing, the campsite is only £5 per night per person and that includes electric hook-up on some pitches. Almost everyone camping here will be mountain bikers so you're guaranteed a friendly and sociable weekend. There is also a secure bike lock-up here; a great feature if you are short on space in your vehicle. Bikes have been known to go missing from here overnight so it is worth taking advantage of this facility.
