Ok, lets not beat around the bush, this trail involves a LOT of climbing. The forest road climbs are unrelenting and at times steep. However, the rewards are great with some very interesting descents especially the final one which is a real blast!

The terrain on the climbs is standard forest roads but the descents are on a rocky and loose surface which is really good fun. Some of the rocky steps which have been built into the trail are awesome and provide a slightly different twist on the standard trail centre style.

The other major appeal of this trail is the epic scenery. Don't forget we are just inside the Snowdonia National Park here and you will be treated with views of rivers, lakes, mountains and other trademarks of North Wales. At times, it feels like mountain biking through a scene from Lord of the Rings! Classic stuff.
